The Costaluz product line has been developed to meet the needs of coastal outdoor areas, while also delivering elegant designs at an affordable price. Most lighting cannot reliably withstand these difficult environments, where the salt air can quickly age the appearance.
Glass:
The designs illustrated in this catalog are achieved through the use of European molded blown glass, handcrafted utilizing centuries-old techniques passed from one generation to generation. Once blown into the desired shape, the glass is then hand decorated in any of a variety of finishes to complete the effect. This use of glass allows us to interpret both contemporary and traditional styles in such diversity.
Brackets:
The brackets and post fitters for the blown glass diffusers and globes are constructed of powder coated, cast aluminum. This finish is very durable and is a perfect complement to characteristics of the glass. Stamped stainless steel fitter pans are used for our flush wall mount lighting. Stainless steel "set screws" and other parts are utilized to retain the glass and are corrosion resistant.
Finishes:
Costaluz fixtures are available in white, black or bronze finishes. The decoration of the glass diffusers and globes is hand applied by skilled craftsmen, then fired to ensure a durable and lasting finish. The result is a finish that will not tarnish, peel or fade from the elements, backed up by a 5 year limited warranty on that glass finish.

The glass globes used in series 3061 are produced in Europe, and are a complement to the 3019 series sconce. Each glass is blown into a mold to attain the basic shape and then hand-painted. To further enhance the appearance, the inside of the glass may be softly frosted.
